Gio Ponti Screens

  • Description

This pair of custom bronze, glass, Gio Ponti cast glass and
mirrored screens were commissioned and designed by
John Beckmann of Axis Mundi for a landmark townhouse
in New York's Greenwich Village. These sculptural screens were fabricated entirely by Urban Archaeology using glass salvaged from Gio Ponti's Alitalia showroom on Fifth Avenue. The chandelier was also made by Urban Archaeology using other Gio Ponti glass elements also salvaged from the Alitalia showroom.
