Care Instructions for Interior Lighting, Bath Accessories, Mirrors and Cabinets, Furnishings, Hardware, Retail Concepts, Plumbing, and Washstands
Urban Archaeology finishes are living finishes and will age and patina over time. To care for our living finishes, follow these steps. These steps do not apply to custom finishes that have been lacquered.

Before you dive into cleaning, start by spot-testing all cleaning agents on an inconspicuous area.

To assist in the cleaning, we suggest using a soft damp cloth. Never use an abrasive product, brush, or scouring pad to clean surfaces.

Then rinse thoroughly with water, dry any overspray.

We recommend using a pH neutral dishwashing detergent in ratio of 1 teaspoon to detergent per gallon of warm water for the best ratio of soap to water.

Avoid using disinfectants (like ammonia and bleach). They could alter and damage the surface finish. Also, avoid prolonged contact with certain items such as vinegar and certain soaps; they will also alter surface finishes. Read the ingredients of soap before use.
